I think that's the issue that a lot of people have, when they see photos of Vettes with black wheels they can't see the details of those wheels. But if they saw them in person their opinion might change.

I do think that some colors look better with black wheels than others though. I would never put black wheels on my LeMans Blue C6 but when I start looking for a C7, one of the combos I like a lot is Torch Red with black wheels. Strangely enough, I find Crystal Red with black wheels doesn't have the same appeal to me, if I were getting that color I'd have to have silver wheels.

Black or chrome would be a mute point if GM would've had a competent designer for their wheels. The C7's are better because you look past the wheels right to the big brake packages.
