Always love the pictures, but the C&D cover from Oct 62 really brought back memories. I got caught reading that issue in study hall. The infraction earned me another afternoon in my reserved seat at high school detention. Amazing how our minds are triggered by a photo from so long ago. Thanks Mike.
Today's photos are among the best you've ever shown IMO. I especially love the window stickers and the magazine covers. The one below is kind of interesting, though. It mistakenly shows "Stingray" instead of "Sting Ray", there's no rear bumper on the supposedly new Corvette, and I don't remember plain painted wheels being offered on the C2 (though I could well be wrong on that one).

I liked that pic as well...Im wondering if he bought it used without the rear bumper and no wheel covers.
Mike,
I really liked the picture of Chip & Zora, Chip was a good friend.
Mike
That appears to be Bill Miller (no relation to Chip) in the black C1 silver cove parade car. I think the black C1 belonged to Chip. Chip and Bill Miller were the original co-owners of the Carlisle Fairground at the time they turned it into Carlisle Events. Founding fathers if you will. Chip's son Lance is now known to carry the torch for his dad.
