I'm looking to wrap my 2016 Z06 with the expel. Does anyone know what price I should pay for the entire car? Just don't want to get ripped off. Thanks!:

 

I was quoted 4400 in portland or.

 

I paid $5k for all paint including door sills and aero, glass top, and headlights

 

Paid 4,600 to have my entire exterior wrapped in a combo of Xpel and Suntek.

 

Paid $2,800 to do my new 2016 Z06. Xpel covered complete front (incl. hood), mirrors, sides (below lower horizontal body line), rear fenders all the way over the top, and both roofs.
Fabulous job (great people and easy to deal with) as installation skill is absolutely critical.
I'm located in Western MA. Can recommend installer without hesitation. The are not in your area, but a doable distance nonetheless, if you need a great job. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss.

 

You're not far from me, I called all places within 2 hours of us and found what I considered to be the best installer for the price

My car came out great except for one little thing, not bad at all but they'll take care of it if I want

They even did the scoop vents on the hood

 

Got my wheels/tires done for $2K and later did my interior for $1.5K.
Love the extra protection. just can't roll my windows down or open my doors. Bummer

 

Save your money.
I have 26k miles, 2 or 3 baby rick nicks, 1 hubcap catch (no Xpel would not have saved this) so would need new xpel on bumper (addl expense, not warranty).
New bumper is 400 + some paint. Way cheaper. Bet the dealer would trade it in as it is now, barely see these blemishes.
hubcap marks are within the reflection of overhead light.

 

I also have 26k miles and this is the best upgrade I could have ever gotten for this car. Trust me when I say, if you truly appreciate this car for its value and the time and money that go behind it, those first chips and dings will bother you more than you realize right now.

First though, the most important thing you should know is to make sure the installer is a qualified XPel installer. XPel has amazing customer service and, if any problem occurs with the installation, they will help you through that. Besides that, the 10 yr warranty applies to an installation owned by a qualified installer. Next up.... make sure they have a great reputation; many here can help regardless of where you live.

Lastly... price. Anywhere between $4000-5000 can be typical and you might want to consider if you want paint correction. My own opinion on a brand new car is that may be a waste under the XPel but opinions vary greatly on this.

I have a white 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT that I had Xpel put on from new. I have 8500 miles on not and can tell you that I DO NOT recommend butting on a white vehicle. It is turning a slight yellow tint. I guess on any other color vehicle it wouldn't be bad but not on a white one. I'm sure I'm going to get some **** over this but I'm serious..

 

Where did you have the work done?

 

I just had Suntek done a few days ago. Up here in Calgary, Alberta Canada I was quoted between $5,000.00 (Suntek, Non-dealer) and $7000.00 Xpel (from Dealer).

Very happy with the Suntek so far. It has excellent clarity and no rippling.

I did not do the back hatch (yet, because I have a paint issue on it) and I can not tell the difference between the upper rear quarters and the rear hatch.

 

That's a lot of money to protect from tiny rock chips that are easily fixed. I have some in key areas but have less than $200 in it. Sometimes I do wish I had it on my doors to protect me from idiots in parking lots....

 

Just picked up my car today, XPEL looks great! I just did, Lamps, mirrors, fenders,front bumper, tiny bit on the edges of rear bumper. Then coated the entire car with Arctic coating.

Prices Are going to vary, but anywhere between 4-5k for entire XPEL sounds reasonable to me

Not to mention the piece of mind. Driving home from the dealership was terrifying, my car was about 80% covered in masking tape, and wouldn't you know it, I got a damn chip on my hatch.

XPel installer filled it in and wrapped, it's really hard to find it now AND I know exactly where to look

Cleaning the car is a breeze too, this car is a filth attractant, but hitting it with a stream it stuff just falls off with the ceramic coat, then a quick wash and you don't have to freak out with two bucket method, top/bottom etc etc etc (I still do from habit) and dry. Very easy

 

I paid $2977 for XPEL on every part of the car except the front fender vents, roof, trunk, and the rear facing section of the rear bumper (basically, I skipped the sections that I felt were the least susceptible to rock chips). They even put XPEL on my ACS sideskirts, ACS front splitter, mirrors, A-pillars, and door sills too for that price.

I think it pays to shop around by e-mail. If you call around for prices I found it was similar to shopping for a car, each shop tried hard to "Sell you" on why they were the only good shop around. I ended up emailing the four highest rated places on Yelp.com within about 50 miles of me since all four had outstanding reviews and had experience with z06's. I was very clear in the email that I was shopping around for the best value and wanted to know specifically what they would wrap with XPEL, and the final price. I'm very frugal and always compare prices, and the paint protection film shops seem to one of the easiest places to negotiate a better price I've encountered (Perhaps due to the high profit margin in the industry). I was surprised at how willing all of the shops were to reduce the price. After deciding which shop I was going to use I sent a thank you email to the other shops letting them know I had decided to use another vendor but that I appreciated their time and quotes. I immediately was contacted by two of the shops saying they would drop their prices considerably and would also wrap more areas for free. When all said and done I ended up saving about $1500-$2000 just from an hour or two of research and a couple emails.

I also ended up having the roof wrapped in 3M Carbon Metallic Black to match the carbon flash paint, and had all the windows except the front windshield tinted with Suntek Carbon 35%. That came to a grand total of $3357 and so far I'm very satisfied with the final result.

 

Have Llumar on the wife's daily driver Accord and it has yellowed but have not heard of yellowing with XPEL. Talk to your installer or XPEL. I'm sure they'll make it right.

 

XPel - Only PPF with 10 year warranty... to include yellowing and discoloration over time.

 

Replace it under warranty, labour and parts included. Problem solved.
