Our "Buddy" hasn't ridden in the Vette yet. Ive been too worried the damage he might cause when he spots another dog. He had scratched up the vinyl on the side of the doors in the Subaru I used to own. He is older now, eleven, and I'm sure he would love to ride just as he did when I would take him in the truck. Car washing time is exciting for him as he loves to bite at the water from the hose, get sprayed and bark. I know when I retire soon that I will just have to take him in the Vette.

He is actually a Shetland Sheepdog or "Sheltie". Normally they are a small dog and about 30-35 lbs. He is Collie sized and weighs 65lbs. The rest of the litter was normal size. He always gets compliments and we live in perpetual dog hair/fur it seems. We also have another "his wife" so to speak pictured below.
I bought a coupe instead of a convertible for the express reason of being able to take our 90 lb. golden Riley along with my wife and I. He just hopped in the back and laid down and enjoyed the ride. Sadly we lost him this spring to cancer way too young, he was about 8.
Our new rescue, Annie is a 2 year old 70 lb. Flat Coated retriever who isn't really ready for the vette, I don't think she was in too many cars before we got her. At least when she's ready she's all black like my interior so we won't have those golden hairs everywhere.
My wife thinks I hate dogs the truth is I love them but hate when owners don't take care of them. I can not stand walking in to a house or getting in a car and smelling the animal or getting covered in hair. Dogs are great companions good for security and just fun but only when cared for and maintained.
I've been wondering if I could fit my 75lb pup in my car since I like to take him hiking sometimes. I know he doesn't fit well in bucket seats. I've been considering just lifting him into the hatch area.
