Looking at upgrading my stock head unit to one with nav and back up camera. I've priced at 2 places and they're within a $100 of each other including installation. Best Buy being less. Any recommendations? I'm kind of leery about Best Buy after they overhauled my computer. One is for a Sony with Tom Tom Nav and the other is Pioneer with Garmin nav.

Beware of BestBuy, they tend to cut things if they don't fit right rather than using direct fit brackets. Not sure if that is the case on the corvette, but that's what they did on my truck since they just use a generic mounting bracket.
The shop that is more expensive is likely because they are buying the appropriate brackets to fit your car, or making a custom bracket.
Both Sony and Pioneer make good head units from what I read, you may also want to consider Kenwood or JVC as well.
You can always consider installing yourself and crutchfield can sell you the radio with a direct fit brackets.
Forget BestBuy. Go cheap, end up pissed! Contact Dennis at DD Mods. He will sell you everything to complete the install right with NO surprises. He can supply you with directions to do the install yourself if you choose to go that way. He may be able to recommend an installer in your area. (If you would put where you are from below your name you would make it much easier for someone to help you out). Good luck!

Agreed here also. I would also try and consider a head unit with the Garmin NAV system - - I think personally that their map data is a bit better than is Tom Tom's.

Exactly. I went with Kenwood just for the Garmin. Glad I did! No issues and sounds great.

Understand that Kenwood charges for Garmin Navigation updates for certain models. You would be much better off purchasing a Kenwood DDX model and using Google maps on your iPhone or Android.
I took this route with Kenwood with all the bells and whistles and Garmin with lifetime updates, I can take from car to car, even a rental when traveling.
I went with the Kenwood DNX573s. It has Garmin nav, Bluetooth, Apple car play, Android mirroring, front and rear cams, Pandora, Spotify, Ipod and more. Bought from Best Buy with free install, also got the steering wheel control mod. Way better clarity and sound than the stock unit even with the stock Bose speakers. Couldn't be happier.
