Giving some serious thought ZR1...help? (LONG
I'd come up with a few k more and just buy another ZR-1 myself
I want to swap the LS into my old 68. But if I do I know I won't sell it!!
Also want to swap the Saturn Sky like Mallet did with a turbo LS
I also have a Porsche 944 turbo.
But the LSV will stay where it is. IMHO, the ultimate "swap" for a c4 IS the ZR-1
Might also do an after market seat, it looks like there's quite a few options available to lower the seat 2 to 2.5 inches.

much over 6 6 you may be a bit too big and need to take the top off

I've tried to find decent seats, Summit doesn't seem to have anything, or their search function is broken, everything is C5, C6 and C7.
Any seat recommendations for the C4 that I can start looking at? The FR-S is likely to go up for sale next week and then its game on to find another car.

good point
Theres no way to judge until you sit on a Z not an early one as the consoles and dashes are different
A good upholstery guy can modify your seat
Far as cams etc you dont need them
port the intake and injector housings, stick headers and a nice 2.5" exh 4.10 gears thats about as good as its going to get cost wise
Should have an honest low 12 sec car.
Value on a bigger LT5 dont worry about all that #s stuff it doesnt lower value at ALL. Guys pay huge money to do these
(its either an LT5 or it isnt)
Couple 415s and a 440? on here they make crazy power. If you can buy one done youre ahead of the game youll never have a problem reselling it
These arent C1-2s where guys go gaga and fret over value. They were meant to be driven hard, and often so do it

I could go back to the C5 Z06 or a C6 Grand Sport those are really the only two "modern" corvettes that have some major appeal to me. Removable hard top sure would be handy though...

It has run in the low 12s at 121 mph in the 1/4, and 144.25 in the half mile. At 50 mph shifting from 5th into 2nd and standing on to 90 mph will snap your head back and slam you into the seat and again when you shift into 3rd and when you top out at around 7200 and grab 4th...There just isn't too many that will be scoffing at C4s after that.

And, the LT5 just takes it all in stride, and keeps on coming back, licking its chops for more!

ZR-1s/LT5s are amazing animals - especially when it is ported/tuned. Quietly maneuvering in traffic with the AC on one minute, and screaming like a banshee to 7200 rpm the next and back, w/o a whimper. There's NOTHING like um, especially with a touch of porting (oh, what fun was left on the table in these cars)!

I've got an inquiry into Carbeau to find out what their seat options provide in terms of adjustability and how much lower they are vs stock seats.

I can't crane my neck or tilt my head to the side while driving, it's not really comfortable and don't have a shot at getting a helmet on. I've got about an inch on MJ by the way

I agree with you regarding seat adjustments, if I pull the stock seat out I'd keep it for the next owner, I'd wrap it in plastic and put it in my conditioned attic.
I don't really want to give up on the C4 yet, if I have to then I will...what makes you think aftermarket seats won't work?

An aftermarket seat will come with seat tracks that will put you back at square one.
