Pros:

Lower windows from outside the car - vent the interior before you leave a meet

Raise windows from outside the car - after you're done putting the targa on, no need to power on to put windows back up

Vent feature - didn't really use this much

Parking brake unlock - instead of hitting unlock when dropping someone off, just put the handbrake up and it will unlock both doors, makes for a smoother exit

Cons:

Takes up OBD port so you can't use any Bluetooth scanner in unison

Also, I have one for sale for $80+shipping+paypal
Is the one your selling an extra....or are you selling the one you bought cause you're unhappy with it ?

Here is a picture of the Valet. Judging from the picture in relation to the port size I would guesstimate that it sticks down about 1 1/2". I don't have one but am considering getting one too.

I have this feature on my daily driver, a mark5 VW Jetta and love to use it in the summer when my black car is like a toaster oven inside after sitting in the sun. It's also handy when you lock your car and suddenly realize one of your windows was left down since I can open and close the windows by holding the lock/unlock buttons down for 5 seconds.

As a touch of irony this feature comes standard equipment on the Mk5 Jetta being built into the BCM but is not activated. In order to activate this feature one needs the VW dealer specific software similar to a GM Tech2. Activation is as simple as putting a check mark in a box in the central convenience menu setup.

Default It works great.

I had them in both my C5's and they worked great. I have no complaints.

I'm interested in your window valet, if it's still available!

Too bad I didn’t ask around first or I could’ve saved a little coin.

UPDATE: my Window Valet arrived yesterday. It’s plugged in and works like a charm. I’d say this is a must have item for many of us. I wish I had known about these 4 1/2 years ago when I bought my first Corvette. It’s also much more compact than I expected.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread! C6 Window Valet
