No. And I work in the metal industry; everything from mild steel, aluminum, and yes even brushed stainless. If I wanted a set of those... I'd send the vendor $170
I sent mine out for chrome plating, but I had to dismantle the dash, tear apart the vents, sand them & polish to a high luster, shipping there & back & the minimum labor charge of $250.00 it was under $300.00 but worth the effort, but I know most people would not go that route, I love the look adds some class to the interior. It's not the same as just adding stainless trim, but requires more work & more money.
I think those pieces add a bit of a finished look to the dash without being gaudy or out of place on a barren black dash board. I put them on my car and I like the way they look. I don't remember what they cost but at the time I thought they were reasonable. I got them from West Coast Corvettes.

Really like the look of these, it really modernizes and brings up the caliber of the interior.
Problem is they're $170 on ebay and I can't justify spending that for something so basic.
Can anyone think of a way to easily make these myself? Eg. buying raw material/metal strips and then bending them to shape to the vents?
Justify it? WTF...How did you justify getting a Corvette? I use to think I couldn't justify getting an MCM hood...then I just said Fk it...and got one...just make yourself happy at all cost...how long you gonna be here?

West Coast Corvette has them on sale right now for $167.46 for the complete kit which includes surrounds for the console components, too. Makes a big appearance difference. I think they're worth it.

Thanks guys- I might just try wrapping the border with some type of vinyl wrap, assuming there's a definitive edge on each side. While not metal, would still improve the look a bit.

i think this answer was sufficient enough to close the thread

Love the look. Well worth it. Were did you get the carbon fiber door handles?
I purchased the door pulls from another member here on the Forum & sent them back to Apsis for the matte finish, as I will be sending them more of my dash plastic for the same treatment.
I did the same thing only had mine hydrocarbon dipped to match my center console area. Well worth the effort I think.
Looks good, an all black interior is just too much, needs other details to break it up, the stainless trim mention is also interesting detail, I like the trim that goes around the interior rear view mirror.

Here is what the vents, at least the 2 passenger sides will look like if you decide to remove them to wrap them.
took mine apart and painted them. i saw a car with the stainless ones. they didn't fit well. left gaps between dashpad.
I must say you did a very nice job painting them, but if you saw them fitting as bad as you say, they weren't installed properly. I had no problem with mine and they fit very good. Your paint job looks great, too.
Stores both automotive parts and online sell a flexible plastic product that you can use to place inside trim area. It's similar to the product thats sold to protect door edges. It comes in both a variety of colors and finishes like "faux" brushed aluminum. It's cheap at like $15 a roll. It's also pretty terrible. It doesn't go on uniform, and you have to use some sort of adhesive to secure it. When I purchase it and experimented with it on my C5 I was so embarrassed by it I just removed it all completely and forgot I ever bought it.
My thing is though at $170 that's money that can be added towards something that can actually be useful for your car like engine or suspension.

Exactly my point...$170 for a few tiny pieces of cheap metal isn't worth it to me. Would rather find another method/product to achieve this look, even if it's not exactly the same.
