I went with clear for my 2016 Z06 and no problem with temperature control in the hot summer weather. I bought one of the suction cup headliners but have never felt the need to use it. The additional heat contributed via the translucent top is minimal and pales in comparison to the amount of heat that is coming through the windshield, windows, and the very large glass on the hatch none of which have as much tinting as the top.

In summer the biggest heat management issue with the Z06 is the amount of heat transferred through the firewall and tunnel and that is primarily what your A/C system will have to overcome and it is very capable of doing so.

My main reasons for the transparent top were its increased headroom (since it doesn't have a liner) and you can look through the top when you are first in line at some poorly placed traffic lights rather than squeezing down into the seat to look through the windshield. Depending upon your height these make a big difference in driving comfort.

Whether the transparent top looks OK depends a lot on the car color in my opinion. I like it with Laguna Blue.

^I don't think any of the CF roofs are full CF, they all have painted edges. Colloquially, "Painted" refers to the carbon fiber roof that is fully painted. I think GM refers to the visible CF roof as "Visible carbon-fiber roof panel with body-color surround"

Got a better pic of your wrap? Looks nice from this angle, but I'd love to see more.
