I'm still not seeing it. That would be quite the wrong position. Plus if it's there the cover seems to be covering it. Interested to see what others think too.

It's still there, but the angle makes it appear not to be. Still shots are not the best for showing 3-D.

Sorry. I put the outline in the wrong spot. I went back and checked the original photo that clearly showed the outline of the scoop.
OK I can see something there. If you are correct then the top of the scoop blends into the crease, Unlike FVS's latest side rendering.
And it still looks to me like the cover blocks it off.

ACS incorporates a feature on the sill and connects it to the scoop. I did these tracings last year sometime. It is closely guarded.
Still foggy about the those headlights, some have said they are just temporary but sure look the same in most of the cars we have seen.....My 2011 Grand Sport had a similar look, would make the front end different than the Ferrari and Mclaren.
It actually looks silly... if it comes with Camry front tires like the picture that will be an issue because it means an automatic entirely new wheel/tire package from day one!!

It's unlikely the scoop blends into the crease--that doesn't comport with the late Pimp's description in a couple of ways. Having said that, there's clearly some complexity going on between the door and the scoop structure--or at least the spy photos of the door open seem to suggest that.
No reason for the front tires to be big when the weight is at the rear.
Thin front tires enable lowering of the power steering effects--making for a light delicate feel of the road.

All true but aesthetics matter too Not saying they need to be 285's or something massive but those fronts look like a 195 off a Camry and don't fit the look of the car. Give us a 245 and I'm fine... if for no other reason than it will look nice
Guaranteed when/if a Grand Sport and Z06 version of the C8 is released it will have wider front (and rear) tires!
Definitely looks like a retractable hardtop. Seams in the weather striping
I don't know how they would do a retractable hardtop, but I guess it is possible. Simpler explanation seems like a manually removable targa top. The latter would keep costs down for the entry level price mark and be consistent with Corvette tradition. My guess is the targa top would be stored under the front hood?
How about red herring or things "seen" to take the conversation in a way-off direction? Such as a seam in the window weatherstrip, or skinny front tires. Kinda like adding padding or styro under the camo and then showing "lumps."

The photo with the red line highlighting the side scoop isn't meant to be 100% accurate.
I only did that to point out that the side scoop is still there, just hidden behind that flat-panel camo.
