Took my car in a couple months ago to have something looked at. They thought they fixed it. They didn't. The car was still under factory warranty. Took it back to get same thing fixed after factory warranty had expired and they charged me $100+ for a diagnostics fee. They didn't run any diagnostics last time and when I checked in and signed the form approving the work be done they said nothing about any diagnostic fees. Lady in cashiers office told me that if there are any potential diagnostic charges they should have told me before I went to the cashier so I wouldn't be surprised.
There's a 1year/12k warranty on parts regardless of mileage on the car. Were you in that range?? Oh,I see you are.Get a total refund or call GM customer service asap!

I'm thinking about calling the service manager.
Thoughts?
Hello,
I do apologize for your experience. I would definitely suggest calling the service manager and discussing this with him. Please let me know if you are not satisfied with the outcome after that.

Am I missing something here? The OP suggested himself that he should call the service manager. The problem has not been resolved. In my opinion, good customer service would be taking care of the OP's problem or at least a guarantee that the problem will be addressed by Chevrolet Customer Service on behalf of the OP. I have seen alot of these posts lately where "Chevy Customer Service" apologizes for the issue and makes a minor suggestion which is no more helpful than the advice offered by other forum members. Then, posts are made that say "good job" or "good customer service". Shouldn't we be offering praise for a job well done after the job is actually well done? Can someone please point out where the actual "customer service" has been performed here on behalf of the OP?

I think the fact that someone from Chevrolet is even listening (at the forum level), responding and offering to be of assistance if the issue isn't resolved is positive.

Hello,
I do apologize that you feel this way. However, this service writer has a manager. I do have to allow the proper steps to be taken before I can get involved. This is something the dealership should be taking care of itself. If the customer is not happy with anything, I am always more than happy to step in. I do have to allow the dealership the chance to look into this, too.

This is the kind of service that will keep current model owners coming back for future models.

Hello Chris,
I do apologize you did not get my messages. However, I did call the number you provided. I also left a voicemail. If you are still in need of assistance, I am more than happy to help. I just want to let you know that I did try to contact and I only received one private message from you asking myself to call you. I apologize for any mix ups. I am sure there are a lot of forum members that will let you know that I always try to reach out, even if there is not much I can do. I am not sure what happened in this case, but I will try to make sure this does not happen again.

I'm with you Wayne. As an owner I'm happy to know the folks that design our Corvettes are listening to what we have to say. My understanding is that the Corvette paying attention starts at te design level and now I'm seeing that the listening continues when we have issues after the sale. This makes me even more pleased with my decission to buy and own my Corvette.
