Default Under hood decal

Attachment 47764807
Anyone done the under hood corvette emblem on the underhood insulator.
I bought it and it has extensive directions which look like a lot of work.
I am going to do it anyway. Just wonder if there are any suggestions
Thanks
Blue Max so I am going to try to post a picture as a test. Decal picture later after install
This picture was done from my iphone which seems awfully large.
adding picture of install before putting on the car

I used the heat gun on low at a safe distance and the white sock on your free hand as recommended just pushing down on the decal not siding my hand with sock on it and it stayed down nicely. However, you have to go over it many times to get the whole decal down to go into the indentions in the hood insulator. Hope it stays on as I really like it after the install I did the metal type flag on the 08 and I like this much better

I did it on my '07. Follow the instructions and have a second pair of hands and it is not difficult.

Did yours come rolled up in a tube. If so make sure you roll it out flat on a level surface for at least 24 hours. Mine sat for about a week until my son was free to help. I bought the spray adhesive that was recommended in the instructions, Did exactly what the instructions called for and I think we were done in less then a half hour. Just make sure it is positions properly before you apply the heat gin or hair dryer.

Yes it was rolled up in a tube and it has been laying flat with some light weights on it for a couple of days

Sounds like a good way to customize the hood insulation. Any pics?

I always felt painted liners look "fuzzy" so I went with a metal emblem. Takes no time to install, cost me $70 and looks amazing. I also added polished hood liner pins to add just a bit more "pop".

I did the decal on my first hood pad, then got another airbrushed. Here is the airbrushed one on the car, and the decal hood pad against the wall. The decal was easy to install with a hair dryer.

Mine has been on since I bought it. The size is about right as you show it. I do know that car show judges are not fond of it. Do I care?
