Default Finally a track day...

Hello all I picked up this 2011 grand sport A6 Dic 10 2014 been working on it ever sense.

I set out to make it a 10.5 street car stock block stock cubes and got my wishes confirmed today at streetcardrags day at Palm Beach international raceway.

Here are the mods;
Heads and cam, headers, cold air intake and Yank 3,400 stall converter.

Factory intake manifold and throttle body ported by me, I did all the work (nobody better not touch my car)

No power adders.

The races against two GTRs
a Mclaren a hell cat 834 whp on that puppy, modified M4 and a ctsv and others ten passes total.

The fastest two cars I raced were the black GTR with upgraded turbos & E85 and the
Hell cat. They both red lighted against me and the GTR stayed out front.

best zero to 60 1.528

best 1/8 mile 6.760

best 1/4 mile 10.534

other passes 10.567 10.579 10.534 10.546 10.576 10.549 10.549 again 10.541 and 10.771

best mile per hour 130.04

lowest mile per hour 128.85

Will post some vids and time slips later.

All in all a great day and very happy.

My Grandsport vs Mclaren 650S

Here is a comparison to two factory fast as they come (at the time) boosted supercharged cars.

Not only did you have fun and accomplish your goal, the best part is the self-satisfaction of doing your own work.
Those are real consistent times too.

That seems like a full second faster than I expected. That's amazing. How much power is this engine putting down?

When we dyno tuned it gave us 560whp.

That dyno MAY read high compared to another dyno I tune at. So i estimate 535 - 545 whp.

OUTSTANDING! Way to represent for Team Corvette!

I can't wait to see the videos on the Dragtimes YouTube page. I get alerts on them and I'll post links in this thread as they come up.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet at PBIR but you never know what the future holds.

By the way at my new home track, Gateway, I called out a Hellcat to race my buddy in his Mustang. Poor dude had street tires so I knew he'd have trouble against my buddy, who has a supercharger, headers, drag radials, and the magic bullet, a 4000 stall.

Thanks for getting back to me I appreciate it -

Reason I asked about the gears was that I have been trying my best to decide between the 3.42 and 3.15 ratios and a 3200 YANK stall (been seriously leaning towards the 3.42 gearset for this A6) -

Seeing the video of yours launch, run through the gears (1-4) and listen to it go through the lights - I think I have made up my mind now for the 3.42's and YANK 3200 (although you are running the 3400)

Very cool - by the way I still cannot believe no one has picked up your 2.73 rear in the F/S section, even with all the price drops

Thanks again and a great N/A combo for sure!

Thanks,Matt
