Those who have added red to their black interiors
I'd like to see pics of your interiors that started out all black, but ended up with some, or a lot of red. Please list what is aftermarket, what is OEM swapped parts, where you the got the stuff, and prices if you have them. It's looking more and more like I'm not going to find a C5 with a red interior, so I'll probably have to start with black and do the rest myself. Thanks.

I currently have a TR C5 with a black interior but have not added any interior highlights as you describe - probably because we used to have, at the same time, a black C5 with a TR interior. The two were alter-egos of each other. The black was my wife's '02 C5 that complemented my '02. Hers was an A4 and mine an MN6. There was so much TR in hers that I ended up toning it down a bit with some black when I replaced the seat covers.
Black/TR - stock interior (except the protective floor mats)
New leathers
TR/Black - stock except for steering wheel emblem

Too bad you don't have any pics, I bet it looks sweet! I don't mind black interiors, but the ALL black is just too much for me...I can't believe the factory red interiors weren't more popular, the torch red C5s with the red ints really look sharp!

Jordan told me about your motor...what are you building?
Oh and to keep on track, yes I'm looking to do the same with mine, but I want to do red inserts on my seats and just do the lower door panels and lower dash panels in red

Blue not Red
You asked for colors other than black, so here goes. My 2004 Z06 was an all black interior and I decide to make some changes to break up all the black. So I went with blue to match my LeMans Blue exterior. I know blue isn't for everyone but I like. It is basically my take on a Mod Red interior but instead of red I used blue leather. The seat covers were sourced from Vette Essentials and I did a take not he C6 Z06 seats. Then I purchased a blue hide of leather from them so I could cover my other interior panels in the same shade of blue leather. This was done back in 2008 and it still looks great today.

Here is the mod red interior I put in the '00 coupe I once owned. The products were from Vette Essentials.
Items changed included the steering wheel, shift boot and ****, e-brake handle and boot, seats, center console lid and door pulls.

Everyone's interior looks awesome...but I'm personally a fan of less is more... I just won 3rd place in a Car Show and was complimented on my interior several times:
My TO DO List:
- "Corvette" - torch red lettering on airbag
- Grab Wrap - torch red on airbag
- Grab Wrap - torch red on door handles
My TO DO List:
- An embroidered C5 logo Console/arm wrest wrap that will have torch red accents
- 3D Domed sticker of C5 Logo on steering wheel

A little red leather, started as SEM Color dye on OEM GM stock black. However I wanted REAL Torch red leather instead of GM vinyl. Had a new dash made in REAL Red Leather, A Pillars in REAL red leather, then had door panels covered in REAL red leather, steering wheel in REAL leather, shift boot in REAL red leather, emergency brake handle in REAL red leather, Visors made with SIMULATED red leather, Seats in SIMULATED red leather. Then installed red trim components. Sparco seat belts in red material. Headliner is Torch Red felt I recovered it with. You should get the impact adding a little red does to a dull black budget interior.

I am not going to bore everyone with pics of my mod red interior as you all have seen them in hundreds of cars. However my TR FRC of course came with a solid black interior from the factory and it really woke up the inside for me. Now what would really make me happy would be to have solid red seats, carpet and moldings that came in torch red interiors. My cost to change out my interior thus far has been $1100.00. $600/00 for the mod red Z06 seats and $500.00 for the door panels, knee bolster and glove box door. Of course I still have all my original pieces if I want to change back.
