Default C6Z H pipe converted to X pipe

I'm bumping this to the top. I still have it. I don't need your H pipe. Price increase to $150.00. If no takers it will be in the scrap by Memorial Day. Shipping is on you.

I made a fixture to hold the H pipe while I worked on it.

H section removed.

The converted X pipe

In a few hours you can add an X pipe to your exhaust system, plug and play. I'm in Northeast Ohio and would drive some distance to meet a buyer, I would like to avoid shipping if possible. I purchased the X pipe (H) from a forum member, 2007 Z06. PM for more information.

I did the non 3" muffler mod on the current mufflers I'm using and they along with the X pipe sound great. I have another set off NPP's I'll be offering with my mod soon. SOLD

Excuse me for the deviation from your thread. Do you know the diameter of the holes in the in the 3" pipe the the "H" section connects?

I have cut two 2007 H pipes apart. The connector, the "H" part had nothing in it, you can see right through it. Other years may be different, but these were wide open. I will zip wheel one tomorrow and post the picture.

Nice Work! Some would call this a hack job on the forum as it is not OEM or aftermarket. I call it innovative!! I created my own x-pipe on my modified C3 with headers and polished magna flows. Next up, I am going to do my own NPP on my 08. Cutting existing pipes to marry to 09 NPP.

Keep up the good work.

Nice work! Great budget project. Is that the Jones exhaust stamped x-pipe?

This was the first gen muffler mod from way back. The pipe going through the muffler is reduced down from 3" of the exhaust pipe. The stock ZR1 mufflers are reduced as well. The 3" muffler mod is where they have a 3" pipe through the muffler and a 3" butterfly at the exit.

My mod.

The pipes with the perforated metal added are solid when stock. This was my idea to make the quiet side really quiet and it works really well. Nice on long highway cruising.
