Default New Toy Garage

Just started moving into my new shop, about 2 years ago I decided to lease a small shop for my hobby, which became full in about 4 months, so I rented the rest of the building, and started looking to purchase a new shop.

I found this shop a couple months ago, it was a street rod shop, 13,000 SF he left the lifts, metal brakes, compressors, paint booth and countless shop tools. Even worked a deal to include the '57 Chevy restomod project.

Started moving the cars into the shop, still a ton of things to do, built a showroom area, added AC.

Still planning on polishing showroom floor, building work benches and adding a sliding barn door to separate the shop from showroom.

Here are a few pics, I'll post more once I get more completed...

Thanks! It's a huge mess right now after a lot of cleaning and organization it will be great. It's just going to be nice to have all of the tools and space to work on more than one project at a time.

Thats my Velocity Exo, I just finished, LS, with Porsche 6 Speed transaxle, no body, just a couple canvas panels. Wicked fun close to 400HP and 1,700 lbs.

Nice work. Can't imagine how fast it is. Looks like more then 400 HP with the after market intake and those beautiful headers. The headers are a work of art. Has to sound great also. Is it an LS 1?
Your like the Toy Maker from the TV show!! He builds some crazy fast cars.

Great shop, actually it's more like a full on commercial auto shop.

That garage is gorgeous; large and not too perfect, which makes it perfect.

Thanks! I'm going to just organize the shop area and only make the showroom and front office area nice. My old shop was very nice but it didn't last, once I started working in it.

Here are a few pics of my old shop, when it was nice....

I was the "keeper" of a good friends garage and was privileged to store my car there for free. One day the cousin was at the garage and called it "The Toy Store". Well that struck a chord and I had a stamped metal sign made by another friend and we put it on the inside of the door. Not sure what happened to the sign after we left but if I locate it, I'll let you know if you are interested.
