What car are you obsessed with buying??
What cars do you desperately want to own???
My #1 is my Dad's '57. Gone since '96. I'm praying that I get a shot at it someday. It's like a missing family member.
My #2 is a SWC that hasn't moved since '85. I am Pals with the owner and think I have a shot at it.
I bought my #3 18 months ago. It's a 1 owner, 23K mile Opel GT. Going to be running soon. I wanted that car for over 20 years and freaked out when the owner's name was on my caller ID.

After selling my 67 BB and 58, I'd like to build a 63 or 64 rat rod Vette coupe. Has to be well patina'd Daytona Blue.

I'm not anymore, got my '65 toy.
But I like the OP's list.
Who wouldn't want a family-owned C1 and a SWC.
The Opel GT is a less-common selection, but I've always liked them, and had a couple of Opels. Fun cars.

A true roadster you could still hand crank to start and the side windows bolted on (after you took them out of the trunk)..and the floor was wood.
Also not obsessed, I don't think it would be a fun car to drive much at my age..

The Opel GT are cool looking cars. I always wanted one and was going to tell people it was a Corvette (after I put Corvette emblems on it) and just tell everyone that my wife washed it and it shrunk. Kind of hard to find one that is not ate up with rust and in good running condition.
As far as a car I am obsessed with buying I think I have pretty much bought about every car that I have wanted to own and even bought a few I wish I had not of bought but that is life. Right now I have the cars I want the 54 Motorama Corvair, my 67 Sunfire Yellow Coupe with 15,500 original miles and a 63 SWC Sebring Silver 4 spd car and at age 65 now I realize I do not need 8 cars that I have so the 63 SWC will go up F/S pretty soon and I will just drive the 67 and my truck and look at the 54 Corvair Motorama Car in the garage.

The Opel GT was a cool little car...my brother had one in the 70s and I remember the funky handle to flip the headlight buckets sideways...took a bit of force too.
He wrecked the car one night a few miles from home and called me. I got there and he had rear-ended some lady in an Impala. The wedge shape of the front of the Opel lifted the Impalas rear end up just like a floor jack under the differential would have done. The car was straight up in the air with both rear wheels off the ground....and when my brother 'came to' he was looking straight at the gas tank.
Sorta funny - but scary.

I've wanted a Model A Hot rod for a while. But as time goes by I'm going from wanting to build from scratch to wanting a project or finished Rod. No fiberglass, A/C, radio etc, just bare bones, slightly crusty but not the current exaggerated Rat Rod look.

My very first car, 58 MGA, red with wires. $450.00 with a spun bearing. $ 21.00 for machine work. Had a new top, painted in a body shop for $35.00. Drove it a year before jointing the Marines. Fun car !

I'd give anything to find my Pop's '58 fuelie.
I always liked Opel GTs. They are one of several cars made by many different manufacturers that the performance didn't match the looks.

I'm not obsessed, but I look frequently for a '67 or '70 Plymouth GTX 4-speed. Dennis
