Rear tires that bite
I have a 2017 GS with the factory run flats. Today was almost 90 degrees outside and the tires were warmed up and a few times she still spun and lost traction when I pushed her hard. My question: is there a rear tire that I can put on the car that will bite harder? I know it won't be a run flat but I'm tired of feeling the back end start to float around under hard acceleration.

MT ET Streets? Wrinkle wall slicks? Use launch control if you can't launch it properly.

You more than likely will not find one. Don't slam your foot down on the throttle use a more judicious quick throttle application that way you don't shock the rear tires and break them loose. The LT1 has the low rpm torque levels of an LS7 so has plenty of low rpm power to break the tires loose. You can't treat the throttle like an on off switch. It isn't like driving similar HP level or even higher HP engines that get their power through rpms Vs torque.
