Onstar/GM just F*CKED over every customer! Every car that has the basic service, which was included in the price of the car for 5 years?, now has to pay $16 a month to get Send to Nav and Vehicle Status. What a RIP OFF!!!

I checked and mine doesn't work any longer either. It just gives the option to upgrade.
I think the answer to defaria's question is simply that the in dash NAV is superior in many ways for those of us smart enough to learn how to work it.

i said i could use those in my first post. Yeah there are other ways to do the Nav but this "send to" from the app was convenient to do and supposed to be part of the 5 yr ONSTAR package. At least i now have a couple of new abbreviations!

I have to agree with the sentiment of GM screwing us just a little. The ability to send destinations to the car was the only part of the free five year app I used very much at all. It was real handy on road trips to be able to set the next day's destination from the motel room.

In my case it is on 3 GM vehicles not working, 2 still on new car premium trial. I'm impressed!
And yes very handy on road trips as you plan your next days travel.

Agreed! Also while sitting in the house waiting for the lady to get ready before heading out to a new restaurant or something.

Yeah I know that.
More convenient than getting in your car and AA asking you if you want to go to that next appointment you have in your calendar? Or asking you if that place you searched for in Google Maps on your laptop might be a place you might want to navigate too? Or being able to search for various places and create a multistop route using Google Maps on your laptop and select Send to phone? Or you can actually ask Googe's AA assistant to find places and about 95% of the time it gets it right or you can spend 20 minutes trying to get the GM voice recognition to recognize "DMV"?!?
f onstar. The service sucks when compared to Google.

Some folks seem to spend more time figuring out how to get somewhere than it takes to get there. Those of us who know where we want to go and simply need a map to the place are much better served by integrated NAV. Mine even knows where the DMV is.
