Wow, its been Quiet!
I hadn't received my daily updates to the PNW forum for quite some time now and thought wow, is everyone hibernating or looking for that special gift for that special someone? But then I went in and found out my subscription had somehow gone away!
Glad to see we are not all hibernating! Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays...

Busy planning next Spring's adventures.
Are you going to the Big Sky Meet in Helena? Corvettes on the Columbia? Corvettes on the High Desert in Central Oregon?

Wll, Ken, if it wasn't for the "Unclub" group I'd agree with you, but we stay in touch and still meet at our favorite pubs (that being any sleaze bar that will continue to let us in) for lunch once in a while. Join us sometime.
Of course the weather really hasn't been conducive to getting the Aero Lightweight (One of 42) back on the road and now it looks like we have a new project at the museum which should keep me out of trouble for a few months. (Wait until you see this thing)
So, just to keep my hand in with he car, I ordered some new wax on the internet and decided to try it out this afternoon. Weird stuff. I applied it per instructions and wiped it off, again per instructions, and it kept "coming back" as a light fogging or haze. Repeated polishing helped, but not completely.
I think I finally realized that one should not try to wax their car in an unheated garage in 40-degree weather with the door open. It has a nice smell to it though. Not exactly like the Pina Colada scent of the expensive Zymol, but at least I don't have to apply it with my bare fingers and wipe it off with a cloth torn from the Shroud of Turin.
Guess the jury's out until Spring.

I wouldn't know....haven't checked in to PNW for a while!! Moved from Beaverton/Portland to Lexington Washington and retired. Moved here before retiring so was driving the 'Vette a 100+ miles a day commuting since April.........
So now she's getting a break and will start on some needed repairs and maintenance.
Well, hopefully, some folks here will be announcing some drives or cruises we can participate in......hell...do one myself perhaps.
I'll just have to "check in" more often

Now that I am living in Surprise, AZ I learned that in the summer one should not try to wax their car in an un airconditioned garage in 100* plus weather with the door open or closed. You just tell the Corvette “sorry but you’re on your own” then go back inside the air conditioned house and grab a cold beer.
During the summer the garage gets hotter than outside. I hired an insulation contractor to come out tomorrow and insulate the garage. The next step will be to get a portable a/c or a swamp cooler.
This time of year the garage is around 70*. Perfect for doing projects.

Regarding the garage, I am in the final process of sheet rocking my summer project so I can wax in the winter. The wife wanted a 5th wheel so I said the only way is if we have a shop to store it in. And you know you can't just build a single 50' bay so I had to add the 2X2 bay on the left. Now to paint, add cabinets, a lift and then I can fill it up with toys!
