Contemplating a set of Cray Spiders-input needed
I have a z 51 and I want to keep close to stock offset and will reuse the stock tires. I like the look and the lower weights of the wheel. The sizes for close to stock is front 19 x 9 ( stock is 8.5 ) offset is 50 vs 56 that should over come the slightly wider wheel I am assuming offset is in mm so they are a 1 inch inboard so the difference is only a 1/4 wider. For the rear they are 20 x 10.5 stock is 10 with 65 offset vs stock 79 so that should be even .5 inch difference is 14.5 mm. I have heard some get rubbing others do not some say they stick out others no but no consensus. i am looking for some real world feed back and some pictures showing how the wheels fit TIA

I had a set of silver Cray wheels delivered today. I can't wait to get home to check them out. These are the sizes Keith from 1st Rate Corvette Parts recommended:
CRAY SPIDER
SILVER
19X9.5 + 56MM
20X11 + 76MM
You can check out the fitment chart for the C7 on Cray's website.
I understand there's a little stretch of the stock Super Sports but not terrible. This wheel is similar to the XO Luxury Verona. You can search online and find pictures of those on a C7. I initially ordered The XO Verona until I learned they where cast not forged AND heavier than stock Z51 wheels.
I will post pics once I get them mounted.

The Cray spiders, are made by TSW and they 19x9.0 + 50mm front and 20x10.5" + 65mm rear are the exact same offsets as the TSW Nurburgrings and Interlagos regardless if they are a 18/19" or 19/20". You can do a search for TSWs on a C7 corvette under google and find quite a few pictures. Its been a few years since I weighed a set but If I recall correctly the Cray Spiders weighed just a hair less than the Nurburgrings which are already super light weight. Our sales thread is below for the TSWs as for a general idea on fitment. PM, Email, or for forum pricing on the Cray Spiders.

thanks I pm you doc. Is there any advantage to going wider on the wheel I do not see why if you keep the stock tire? The foot print is going to be the same. The offset is stock though but the difference is so minimal confused

I'm running Cray Spiders for my winter setup. I really like them. I went with the following and they fit perfect.
19x9 +50 245/35 Front
19x10.5 +65 285/35 Rear
19x9 +50 245/35 Front
19x10.5 +65 285/35 Rear

Thanks can you take a picture of the rears from the back for me? I found an offset calculator for others in this dilemma.
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=50mm&sr=0mm
according to my calculations the fronts stick out at the tire 6mm more and the rears about at 14mm barely noticeable. I am not going to track the car I am going to guess that any changes in handling would be minimal. however i get really confused in the discussion about scrub radius changes or is that just for the front? I checked out the wider wheels as well
13 mm front for the tires out board this will be past the mud flaps the rears will stick out 24 mm an inch this is quite pronounced in my opinion. YMMV I will stick with the 9 and 10.5

I contacted cray on facebook to see if there any handling issues with the wider track will post when they respond. From what I read changes even minor ones will effect how the car tracks good and bad. I do not know what the scrub radius of the z 51 is. Clearly the Z-06 has wider wheels and lower offsets but the suspension geometry is likely different also. I value performance over looks but we will see. Who knew how complicated changing your wheels is?

thanks for the pictures both of you the 20 x11 stick out to far for my tastes. The 10.5 may not be to bad it is hard to tell due to the non stock tires. I chatted with the cray rep on facebook. Wider is better basically what he said and clearly chevy thinks so also with the GS and the Z06 however I am not sure that their suspension geometry is different then the Z51 or maybe not. I think it may come down to cosmetics. I like the cray wheel but not the wider stance. I may just get a set of black stockers instead.

You’re welcome. I too was concerned about the width until I saw pictures of the same setup with the similar looking XO Verona. It has an aggressive Z06-like stance. Sure they’re wider, but the extra offset sets the face of the wheel further into the wheel well. I think the rears stick out maybe 6mm wider than stock actually.

[QU=FZ1;1598900865]Question: Sounds like these Cray Spiders work on a z51. Will these same 19x9.0 and 20x10.5 work on a base Stingray model year 2019?[/QUOTE]
Yes, they will the fit the base as well. PM Sent.

For my summer stock tires, I'm considering the silver with mirror cut face surfaces, but am concerned that the polished mirror cut areas won't show well - in photos, they seem to disappear into the silver painted background of the wheel. The XO Verona silver wheels photograph very nicely from what I've seen on the web. The Cray's don't show that level of definition and contrast in the few photographs I've seen.
My other choice would be the Gloss Black with mirror cut face Spiders - some photos show very well, others (especially in direct sunlight) don't.
Does anybody here have photos of the Black with mirror cut and/or better photos of the silver Cray's they could share?
