1981 stroker unused wiring harnesses
With the installation of the stroker in my recently purchased 1981 they left a lot of wiring in the engine bay hanging. I am debating if I should just bag the connectors and tie up the harness or should I clip the connectors off and trim the harnesses to where I can tuck them away and make the bay neater. Any suggestions or experiences??

All depends on IF you are worried about cutting them out or not. If you are not worried about what others think..and do not plan on getting rid of this Corvette...do as you want. IF you are concerned that cutting them out makes it so if someone wants to put it back original...then look at the price for the new harness and do as you want and if you sell it...give them off on the price of the car for the new harness....if that is what it will take to make the sale of the car go though.
I would go in and pull out the circuits and get the harnesses cleaned up and not worry about it IF I were building this car for me.

I replaced the harnesses in my 69 and had several things that were not going to be used. I wrapped and sealed the unused connectors with self fusing silicone tape, then tied them back into the harness. Didn't have the heart to cut up $1200 worth of harnesses just because I wasn't going to use a few connectors right now. With that tape, they're waterproofed and secure.
Like everyone else says-- "It's your car and your call"

Lectric limited makes all the harnesses EXCEPT that one.

nice!
would you post up the specs and settings of your stroker?
idle rpm
cam specs
compression ratio
timing settings at idle
being in California, i have long thought about
getting some life in my 81.
stroke is my answer.
i have to maintain computer and base timing and rpm.
just don't want to have to keep changing parts or
put it stock to pass.
thanks
