Default 68 coupe windshield pillar trim question

Hi everyone. I'm trying to install the two vertical stainless windshield pillar trim on my 68 coupe. These moldings are more than an inch too short on my car, so that you can actually see the windshield frame where the top fender trim meets the windshield. How long are these pieces on a 68? As always, thanks for your help.

Trucker

They should run right down to the fiberglass. Mine a about 19.75 inches when you include the lip that runs up over the windshield header.

your missing fender trim and wiper door trim, that's why they appear short.

Hi 55,
Here's the piece of fender trim that's installed to match the trim that's on the rear of the wiper door.
There are 2 small clips that secure the trim piece in place plus a small screws at the end of the trim that's hidden.
Regards,
Alan

Here you can see the 2 clips position. A small hole must be drilled in the fiberglass so that the prong on the bottom of the clip secures the clip in place.

The holes required for the clips.

The clip. Must be installed 'prong' side down.

Default I have a ‘69, these trim pieces are loose?

How do this clip on? Seems one side of each of the moulding pieces have come loose. The outside of each. Don’t want to damage it further by trying to pop off, as the one side that is holding is holding pretty well.

thanks! After further review, looks like the guy that did the body work just glued a portion of it down, screw on one end, the rest was glue. I’ll probably just do the same. Would be too confusing explaining what I’m talking about in a new thread, but totally get what you’re saying here.
