C7 Z06 Autocross MPSS versus MPSS ZP
My 2016 Z06 only has 5000 miles on it (just got it in November).
You may be aware, we (my wife and I) autocross.... a lot... 23 events this year.
I want to stay in SS class. Now I know I can run "cheater" tires (200 treadwear rating... but we all know they are really more like 100... RE71, RivalS, etc.).
But to do this, I need new wheels, and I still can't get tires wide enough to fit properly.
So, we'll stay with tires that are wide enough... pretty much Michelin
Pilot Super sports.
Now... should we just stay with the runflats, or should we go with the
non runflats?
They both have a treadwear rating of 300.

I've run the run flats and non-run flats on a friends Z51 and the run flats definitely feel better. I realize they may be heavier but remember that the chassis was tuned for those tires.

I believe the runflats have a different (stickier) compound then the non-runflats. I could be wrong but I thought I read or heard that somewhere about a year ago.

Definitely different compound and different tread depth. I have had both but haven't competed on them so can't help as to which is faster, but do like the fact that the ZP tire was designed for the C7 from the get go.

Man, nearly every C7 that's come along with a good driver has SLAYED in my local regions with stock showroom tires. I think you can't go wrong with either choice. At least for a while. You can still be competitive with the stock setup.
