Default tapping noise driving me crazy

Hello
When I am driving I hear this tapping noise.....or clicking noise.....and the higher the rpms the tapping noise goes faster. I have been hearing this noise for a few months and now its getting easier to hear. At first you could barely hear it. I took it to a dealer and they said they couldn't hear anything. I guess I will go back to the chevy dealer.
I really need to take the mechanic for a ride. Just by chance.....anyone know of a mechanic in the florida keys? I am 17 miles from key west.
Thanks so much!

There’s not much info to draw from. Could be a lifter, could be an exhaust leak....could be an accessory or even a low end knock. I would find a good auto shop and have them diagnose

Unless under some kind of warranty, there's really no reason taking it to Chevy. A lot more reasons why not. j/k

Lucky for you southern FL has to have more than its share of HP shops.

Your challenge is finding one.
Start asking around those you run with, especially collector car owners.

Don't forget clubs, flush w/ clubs down there of any/everything automotive & they're all an Internet click away.

Referrals are what's needed.
