Default I don't ask often, but....Whaddya think about this? (Steering wheel decal)

Inspired by the Z06 steering wheel, I thought I'd try this for my Little Blue Z51 Vette. This is a decal marketed as something to place on the fender vents but I they're too small and look awkward there. So....I tried this. I'm thinking that it's just a little too big, but it's the smallest size I've found so far.

Thoughts?

Why, so the owner knows what option package is on the car when he/she is driving it?

Could just laminate the window sticker and paste it somewhere.

Looks good. Many have already done this... along with adding Z51 badging/decals to the fenders, rear bumper, and lower rear rockers.

I won't fan the flames of the old argument about Z51 being a model verses a option package (I have an opinion but won't go there) so I say if it looks good, it's done well and, most importantly, you like it go for it!

True. If the OP likes it he should keep it regardless of what anybody else might think of it.

While the decal could be a bit smaller, I think it looks just fine as is.

As others have commented, looks ok, perhaps a little smaller would be better.

Since you don't have a ZO6, you can make believe with a Z51 sticker.

Default Steering wheel decal

Why?
I second that!
It’s just a option not a model as mentioned.

I like it. Thinking about doing it to my 16 Z51 but want some on the side vents. Going to look at the Vettes at Carlisle this year hoping to see some of the Z51 labels installed. As for the ones that cry it is only an option not a model; I guess Chevy should take the Z71 decals off their pickups since it is just a trim level per the website, BTW The Camaro ZL1 is also shown as a trim line..

Well you just did, but let me guess . . . you own a GS. Congrats, if it makes your feel better.

Model vs. option packages are just marketing name games. In 2014, Z51 was a different model in the order guide. Z51 carries a different model code (1YX) than the base car (1YY) to this day and is reflected as a different category in the order stats. Z06 is 1YZ, and GS is 1YW. In terms of performance equipment, the Z51 is closer to the GS than it is to the base car.

On my 2018, it's "Stingray w/ Z51" on the window sticker title. It could just as easily be "Stingray w/ GS," or "Stingray w/ Z06," but the marketing pros are good at extracting more money with name games. They're all built on exactly the same platform, with different engines, transmissions, body panels, tires, brakes, and suspension components, etc. as either standard equipment or options.

Looks nice. Mine is a badge instead of decal. Haters will hate & that's cool, it's not for everybody.

Looks good to me. By your question I think you are a little unsure? If you are unsure about it, take it off. Otherwise you'll have nightmares and will be waking up in the middle of the night sweating profusely! Eventually you'll have to go out to the garage and remove the sticker. It can be a living hell! Believe me. I've been there.
Just kidding of course. I really do think it looks good though and the size looks perfect to me.
