Default Do you drive your Vette or just look at it?

I belong to a Car Club where many members own Corvettes. Some only take theirs out on Sunday for a short drive and only if it isn't raining. A few, like myself, drive it all the time. In other words, a daily driver. Another friend bought a 1963 Coupe and had a frame up restoration. It took three years. Now it only comes out of his garage for car shows. Seems to me for all the money these cars cost, they should be driven.

Do you drive yours or do you wax it and admire it without doing a lot of driving? If you don't drive it, why not?

Drive it. In most cases it is my daily driver.

My GS gets 2,500 miles per year

It's not a daily driver ... and, it's not a true 'garage queen'

DISCLAIMER: I am now retired, so obviously this Corvette [and] my daily driver are not racking up lots of miles going to and from work everyday

I look at my car, I drive my car, I race my car, and I take my car on cross-country trips. Simply put, I enjoy my car in every way I possibly can.

At the track.

At the car show.

At Cars & Coffee after a full annual detail.

Just looking at it.

We bought ours about 3 months ago and have over 6K miles on it already! No way I can NOT drive this car every chance I get. Wife loves it as much as I do.

I bought it new in 2006 to enjoy it. I definitely drive it; have almost 100k very enjoyable & memorable miles on it. I also like looking at it and showing it off; have done a few car shows and taken many pictures over the years.

Default Drive or Look

I bought my convertible, new in 2008. I have 11,000 miles on it now. I really enjoy cleaning it," Garage Queen"
but that's my thing.I get very nervous driving it with all the crazies on the road.

Drove my 5 C6s the first 10 years that I owned them. Then, my mother passed away and I had no reason to drive 150 miles every weekend to see someone. Still put about 7500 miles a year on them for the last 3 years.

I brought mine home on May 21, 2014, parked it in the barn and haven't driven or even started it since then.

It's strictly for looking at.

When it's nice out I'm riding on road trips when it's raining out I'm sitting in the garage next to it smoking cigars
