Default PaceCar T Top molding removal

I am starting to replace the plastic molding around my T Tops. Its been coming off and damaging the FG at the rear. Its also firmly adhered on other places.
Looks like its been happening for a long time. I bought the car in April.

Will Goof Off damage the reflective finish?

Thanks

Is this what your trying to get off?

I don't think goof off will hurt the finish...

There is a trick to putting the new outer trim on the car though. When you do this you almost have to bunch it up, if you don't it will appear too large... when in fact it's not. Here is a good thread about this. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1591732230

What are you trying to accomplish by using Goof Off? The original material, as you note is plastic while replacement is rubber as noted in the discussion referenced by Wilcox. I had to replace the molding on my Pace Car glass tops but don't recall using Goof Off. I would have to check but seems the vendor suggested using denatured alcohol to clean the edge.

Whomever installed the thhe last time used a black adhesive that was heavy in some spots and not the st all in others. I was able to pull the old brittle monsoon of pretty easily but am now cleaning up the glass edge. A plastic scraper gets sone off it off but not all. I am using GoofOff to clean it.
I have determined it melts latex gloves and turns the glue into a black spoupy mess.
