Engine build, CR question?
Going to build my engine for a TT setup (TTIX kit)
Really the hardest point is to choose the right (CR), some said go for 9.2 and the others suggest 10.5 and higher.
I'm going to use pump gas for normal use 95ron (part throttle) and I'll put C16 for any race event.
900-1000whp is the goal, So what do you think is the good CR to go with?
Thanks
Sorry guys I didn't write the engine details
it will be 377cid fully forged and the boost will be around 18psi.

Talk to your tuner, the higher the better Octane permitting of course.

Burning Brakes
- which engine controller
- which spark plugs
- how much boost
- drivability (bucking/surging ok or not etc.)
- what kind of fuel economy desired
- any need for keeping max torq lower for drivetrain longevity
- what cam
- need to pass emissions
- how safe (or how near at the edge...)
So it all depends.
Ask your tuner (and engine builder, if any) which he/she feels being ok for your goals.

For sure if there any racing challenge I'll put C16 and downloading the tune to the ECU.
What I'm afraid of is engine knocking in part throttle and that may be damaging the pistons.

Boost doesn't mean anything. Can't pick plugs at this stage without CR or cam, etc.
Do what tuner said. 9.2 is crazy low.

For my ~1200rwhp setup, running flex fuel, I'm targetting 10-10.2:1. If car will only be run on good gas or e85, go higher.

If you're going to use c16 when you run it hard, I'd target 10.5 at minimum. You tuner can keep it safe on your 95ron tune so you can drive it around.
A buddy is running 12:1 on a LSX 427/YSI making 1100whp and 1300whp on nitrous. Using e85 fuel.
