Eh. It'll physically screw on but its very short filter. Most like to the use the tall truck version as it holds more oil.

Which makes little sense unless you go 10K miles between oil changes. Also if you have headers a long filter will be much closer to the collector and you'll have hotter oil.

What I don't like about the current AC-Delco filters is that they use a cardboard end cap (just like FRAM). Because of this I like the WIX 51069. Metal end cap and silicone drain back valve.

You saw the YouTube video too! I agree, not putting any cardboard in my engine.

As far as the drain back feature, not an issue with Chevy V8s. Only the ones where the cartridge is on a 45* angle and could empty itself back into the pan.

Not sure if the pf454 is a direct replacement for the pf25, but I've always run a pf35 instead of the pf25. It's the longer truck filter that increases your oil capacity a little bit. If you don't have headers it's a direct replacement. Good luck. P.S. I've also always put an oil filter magnet on my filters. Helps keep any metal in the bottom of the filter rather than circulating in your engine.

Just dump the old filter out over night and you have another 12,000 miles of use, but make sure it is a WIX they last for ever.

I have all three in my garage right now.

PF454, PF1218 (same thing, but longer), and WIX 51069.

No sign of a cardboard endcap, but the metal endcap is much thinner on the two AC Delco filters than on the WIX. Perhaps the PF454CL (Classic) has an even thicker metal endcap, but at that price ($10-), just buy the WIX. I'll use up the PF filters I have left, and then switch to WIX.

FWIW, a white Vette in a dark garage does not make the best background for photography.

Reusing a oil filter with 12,000 miles use? That would be like turning your underwear inside out, and be good for another week. lol

Cut one of the AC-Delcos apart and you'll see it. It's the end cap opposite the one that screws to the engine. I cut a PF454 apart and it was cardboard.

Maybe I won't use up the PF filters in that case. Thanks!
