Is anyone else bothered by the flapping cargo curtain when the tops off? It drives me nuts, in my 05 I velcroed the flap to the cover and then finally cut it off when I bought the storage unit for behind the seats. Now I have an 08 and I’m looking for ideas.

Slip a metal rod into the seam. This will weigh it down so it doesn't flap around.
I used the wooden dowel method, drilled a small hole on both ends of the dowel. I then added an eye hook to both ends of the dowel, and attached a retractable ID card holder to the eye bolt. The ID card clip is hooked under the right and left rear speaker plastic trim to hold the shade tight at all times. When the hatch is open, the ID card cord stretches out , and retracts when the hatch is closed. The ID card I used was purchasded at Staples. Here are the pics,
This is what I now have for a rear and top partition. This one does not flap in the wind.

Great and ingenious solution; I was just trying to come up with a way to do exactly what you had done in regard to being able to secure the flap yet allow you to open the hatch. Thanks for posting, I will be 'borrowing' your solution.
I put a metal dowel in there, then I sowed up some elastic straps connected to plastic 3M hook connectors which are hooked into the plastic trim. It still allows easy access to the back without flapping around with the top off. It also keeps anything loose from the back from flying forward either.

Love your new set up. Did you do it yourself or purchase somewhere? Also does the lid of it touch your targa top when stored in back of car?

Thanks, but I got this idea from another forum member that had done the exact thing and posted it on this great forum. I tried to find the original thread, but couldn't. It had tons of DIY ideas.
Hopefully it will help others as well
Here are the materials used:
1) 3/8" wooden dowel approx 42" in length
2) (2) ID badge holders (Staples)
3) (2) small eye screws
4) a pair of needlenose pliers.
5) Drill with a 1/16" drill bit
Typical ID badge holder, As per the 2nd pic, use a pair of needle nose pliers to spread the metal triangle and remove the plastic snap portion from the ID badge holder.
Hadn’t thought of that. I went to Lowes and picked up a 36” steel rod. It should do the trick.

I keep my from flapping by velcroing it the the c6 petition I bought from Southern Car Parts. You can alway let the cover down when the top is off

No sag.
Just enough weight to keep it from flapping.
It moves slightly but doesn't flap.
Easy to remove if needed.
Just the right thickness..

Thank You. I dit it myself using info received from jost6453 in his FS thread of this type of partition.
The top fits in the space, and the lid does not come in contact with the targa top.
The top lid is a 3/16" plywood glued to a 1" styrofoam board so it does not sag.
