Default 2019 Z06 updates

I was told that the 2019 Z06 recieved updates derived from the ZR1, dont if that is true. Im on the egde of ordering a 2019, and wanted to verified,
what is actually, if its worth instead of getting a used 2017. I can get a wicked deal on a 2019! Please pass along any infos that you have on the 2019 Z06/Z07!! Also are the mrc also have the update included ?

I don't know of any ZR1 engine features that apply to the Z06. It is still configured like the 2017s were configured. I believe the 19s have the MRC update and they will have what ever changes to the PDR and any of the other feature changes the 19 C7s have.

No personal knowledge but there was another thread on this a couple of months ago and it stated that the diff was beefed up, I'm guessing the same as the ZR1. The thought was that the final drive train can handle more power on the 19s. Doesn't matter to me, stupid power anyway. Unless I'm doing drag strip stuff It has more that required, IMHO.

  • Radiator is bigger,
  • Driveline is beefed up,
  • Rear upper(?) control arms are improved (as with all C7s 2019),
  • Heat exchanger reservoir is updated,
  • MRC comes fully updated,
  • '18+ has the updated track dashboard with all data in it, among other software updates,
  • ZR1 fuel pump,
  • ...and these are on the top of 2017 updates, of course.
I might have forgotten something, but this was all discussed about a month ago.

Don't forget the ZR1 fuel pump in the 19's.

I'm also wondering if the wheels were also updated by any chance. Someone mentioned Cup wheels' part numbers are updated, which might mean nothing, but it gives me hope that they might have been updated. I'd love to have wheels that I know would not bend : )

Have pictures of changes to rear upper control arms? These sound extremely minor and or easily upgradeable.

The way it has been explained to me, the in tank fuel pump from the zr1 is crucial if a person plans to upgrade the vehicle.

while Fore and other companies offer dual pump hangers, this puts an engine at risk, in the event one of the 2 pumps fail, the car will still run, but it will run lean. Between the cost to lower the tank and the cost of those dual pump hangers, apparently this adds up quickly.

with the zr1 in tank pump, if the single pump fails, the car shuts off. A person's engine stays in 1 piece.

The 19 pump is not reverse compatible with previous year vehicles, so it is not something that can just be swapped into a 17, is what I have been told.

computer and tune are completely different supposedly.

I was also also told the rims have to go back for core charge.

Its been 2 months and I have about 5000 miles on bent rims (yes it’s a daily driver) and I’m ready for my ordered rims. By the time I get them I’m gonna need new tires.

Well now it’s been 2 months and I messaged them the other day and I was told they changed vendors. So when I get them I’ll go and take pics of the part numbers and name on it. I’m just ready to drive my car without a vibration. They bent at 1000 miles and I have 6500 on it now. Lol I’m gonna need new tires soon. *♀️

There is a vendor change and a part number change, have two old part number wheels at another dealer but would not recommend them because they bend easily.
No current update as to when new wheels will be shipped. Will update as soon as i find out something.

Wow, that is much more than i expected! Also that is reservoir that has been updated right, not the H/X? Anybody has a link? I did searched and came up with nothing substantial!
all in all if i can order one at 10% msrp, I should go for it! The wheels update, that i highly doubt tho!

MacMulkin offers 12% discount for a Z06 order, so does Mike Furman. I ordered from MacMulkin, and will get it delivered to my local dealer (courtesy delivery; paid another $350 for it).

it’s your government that’s the problem. Gm is being dictated this directive by the Canadian government and sticking tariffs on US products. It might even get worse with trump placing tariffs on imports to products to the US. Canada could take retaliatory measures and raise import taxes even higher

We're talking about % discounts, not the MSRP numbers. I think the market is just too small to encourage more competition in Canada. Even in U.S., most dealerships are nowhere near the top/high-volume dealers in terms of discount. From that point, I think 10% is good : )

The 18 and up will also have the digital reading on the track gauge.

Yeah, that was a big factor for me in choosing '19 over a leftover '17; thanks for the reminder : ) Will add to my post.
