Default Going from C5 Z06 to C7 ZR1 and got TPW today!

So my dealer finally got back to me with a TPW of 12/17! Put in my deposit on 9/21 and got a call last week from Bowling Green regarding the exact name I wanted on the plaque for museum delivery.

My wife and I are both quite surprised how fast it took from the initial build order/deposit to the TPW. Although I won't be surprised if the TPW gets pushed to a later date after reading everyone's experiences!

This is my first brand new car purchase ever and my second Vette since 2007 when I bought my 04 Z06. I am beyond excited! The wife is also letting me keep the Z06!

For those of you who are curious about the specs, I went for SODP, 3ZR, ZTK, M7, performance intake, and carbon painted side mirrors. Also decided for the dual roof package and cargo cover.

Congrats! Have the saleman show you how you can keep the car in Touring mode but have the exhaust in Track mode: then turn on Rev Match (where the paddles are on the automatic)... the dash and headsup display gear selector number turns yellow and the fun is about to begin. The downshifts are giggles... and the burbling that happens from compression braking is better than a symphony. That alone is worth the price of admission. I’m glad I got the M7....think you will too. They say the Automatic is a bit faster: trust me... you don’t need it.

Made a similar jump but not as high as you. Smart for getting the M7. It's an awesome tranny.

Thanks everyone! Yea I decided to go M7 because to me, all Z06/ZR1's should be manual. Exciting times!

. I agree. Have fun. Leave the nannies on. You’ll be glad you did. For sure dont drive on the street in Track mode. You can bend the rims. It has happened to people.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to be very cautious with this car. Kind of scary going from 405hp to 755hp. Definitely going to take advantage of the complimentary weekend driving class.
