If you are referring to the J1587 or J1939 can bus you can obtain the J1587 data through the OBDII port using a converter. J1939 would not be available.

Want to convert headlights to LED and this is a quote from the LED kit website "
  1. CanBUS Ready -- Work Great with any vehicle CPU that supports CanBUS.
  2. PLUG AND PLAY INSTALLATION -- Easy step-by-step plug and play installation and instructions.

Oh, ok, lol. That's the first time I've ever heard of using that as a power source for LED's. Not sure I'd want to try that myself. In that case, though, someone else will have to answer your question because I don't know if the Corvette has a separate splice pack to tap into the bus.

That just means it takes existing in the circuit for vehicles that detect if your headlights are out or something like that.

The headlights in a c6 are HID, so youd need to do a good bit of work to replace the bulbs with LEDs in the factory housings, and likely end up with worse performing lights. You're better off switching to the new c7 style lights that way.

If you're trying to do led high beams, those work, you just have to find ones shallow enough to fit the housings, which is hard to do, as bright ones have big fans on the back.

Yes, correct. Can bus ready lights for any position (turn signals, tail lights, backup, license plate, side marker) basically have the resistor built in so you're not getting reports of burned out bulbs with LED replacements which is a function built into just about every can-bus system out there. Just went through it on one of my British cars.
