"Flowing" LED turn signal strips installed {Pics}
A while back, I saw a thread posted by forum member "alcoed" with his sequential strip mod.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...quentials.html
I did some searching and found these strips on eBay for $7 and change each. I went ahead and ordered 4 of them and they took about a month to arrive from China.
The installation was harder than I expected because I wanted to install them inside the housings and the strips are a bit fat. I needed to open the housings to provide a bit of breathing room in order for the strips to slide in. Anyone who has baked their lenses in the oven probably knows how tricky this can be.
Once they were installed inside the housings I wired them up and the housings were re-sealed. There were a few wiring issues to figure out but I won't go into detail about that here, if anyone needs tips later I'll help via PM.
Here's a couple of videos in action with the DRLs running and then with the parking lights running. I guess in the close-up video the strip is a bit crooked due to the housing contour (I hadn't realized until this video) but it is not noticible from a normal viewpoint. (Video 2)
I am very pleased how they turned out. I previously had simple LED strips mounted on the outside of my housings for many years so this time I wanted to do it "right" and put them on the inside.
The white light output is super bright and the amber turn signal "flow" really helps the car to stand out. I showed a couple of guys I work with and they both loved the look.
Thanks for looking

Those turned out great and look really cool. Would love to see a step by step DIY on how you did it.

I've been thinking of trying something like this when I install my Radioflyer fixed headlights, except I'd do it in the headlight housing. I'm concerned it'll look a bit too 'home made' for something so prominent as headlights though.
