Manual 0-60 and new plate
I used to have a 2016 A8 and it was a lemon, so I went to the dark side for a while. I am back now with a '19 manual. Just broke it in last week and got a solid 0-60 time. Evidence below. I surprised myself, this was my first attempt as well.
BTW, I think I may need a new plate......see pic 2

No launch control. Tour mode so I could get some squat. Blipped the gas and launched into it gently-ish. Fed the gas as much as I dared for a second or so and then went flat. Didn't hold the revs or dump the clutch.

Melting Slicks
Did you go 0-60 or just spun the tires to 60 while doing a burnout? I've done that pretty easily.

That's awesome
I just picked up my 19Z a couple months ago also. Try this one - in Mexico of course.

2.8 w/ a manual is smokin, nice drivin! What were the conditions and temp? Was there any downhill grade? My best was 3.9 in the middle of summer, probably 85 or 90 out. I need to do the 60-130 to see how my car stacks up. I think that is that the more popular measurement.
Btw, how do you like your m7 vs your a8 and hellcat?

Love the M7, a lot. The A8 was a problem child so not good reference point. However, I felt the shifts didn't come when you asked for them. The Hellcat was Charger, so A8 too. The shifts were more immediate but in sport and track mode they were so abrupt that you had to lift. No good a good thing at the track at all. Did Bondurant in a Hellcat last summer (drove both stick and A8 Challengers) and Ron Fellows in the Corvette the year before. Bondurant was a way better experience, BTW. Don't do either class in July though. Holy crap, it get's hot in Arizona and Nevada at the track and the tires don't last long before melting, especially in the Hellcat.
Charger was fast, comfy and felt like it was made of granite, but would not hook up. At all. Went through 5 sets of tires in 49,000 miles. I wore out two sets up upshift paddles in the Charger. Never drove it in auto. One bad thing about the Charger is the paddles are metal and in Florida summer they get too got to touch. People have complained about the plastic Vette shifter paddles, but at least they don't burn you.

Yes stock-ish for now. No go-fast bits yet. Just added some aero parts and it's in for frontal and side clear bra and the hood wrapped in satin black vinyl.
