There's never too much horsepower, only solutions to get it to the ground. As you can see GM is working the solution to get it to the ground instead of taking HP out...lol

This rumor has been floating around for a while. Its unsubztantiated and highly improbable, for a variety of reasons. Its just clickbait.

Very happy with my "paltry" 400 HP (413 I believe) LS2, still faster then 98% of the cars I see on the road.

It's not the hot cam doing that. It's everything else around it. You'd be making 800 if you'd been smart enough to get a decent cam.

Unless you race your car high horsepower in nothing more then bragging rights. In many parts of the country, you cannot even use what the factor supplies and also most have no idea how to use it. While it is a great selling point to the performance minded buyer, it is just a number. I wonder how many on this forum really use their car to it full potential and that is with the factor HP. So I guess in the performance car culture the answer is there is never enough HP, but in reality 99% only need the base HP.

That's irrelevant to the discussion. I didn't buy a GM hot cam.

On these cars, I have always thought that 400+ to the wheels is the magic number.

Tough crowd Wonder how many have actually driven a car with say 900hp, or even 700hp, hell how about 600hp. I cant imagine driving something with 900hp, has to be a real handful
