Max tire / rims for Z51
I know this has probably been asked but I cant find. I have a '16 Z51 I track, and I would like to close the gap on the huge tires the Z06's have lol. What is the biggest I can put on the factory rims? What the are biggest rims I can put on and keep in the wheel well.
I currently have stock 245/35/19 and 285/30/20.
Any help or links are appreciated

I was just recently wondering the same. I researched and talked to a couple members on here and i finally went with 265/35/19 in front and 315/30/20 in rear on my procharged 15' Z51. Tires are Toyo R888R and my car is at stock ride height. No rubbing yet even under hard cornering but your results may vary on a full track run. Im even going to mess with lowering mine slightly to take up some of the fender gap in rear.

Awesome man! Yeah, those are stock Z51 rims. 19 x 8.5 and 20 x 10 i believe. My shop said the toyos were running a bit narrower than size, so between that and the bit of bulge on the 10" rears im probably only getting a ~305 ish contact patch but they still hook like heck and i like the look. No way a larger tire would fit on the 10" IMO.

One question however... for track use why not drop down to 18 F / 19 R wheel combo?

My car makes 570/580 with the procharger and catless longtubes. They are loud tires when cruising or decelerating. Can defenitely hear the "slurping" on the pavement. However, as i mentioned my car has catless longtubes (NPP fuse pulled so its wide open at all times) so it is obnoxiously loud (which i dont mind). So the noise isn't an issue to me considering the performance/ grip they provide. My shop advised against mixing the runflats and non as well. I think the toyos are a bit softer on bumps than the runflats were honestly. I just carry a flat repair kit and hope i never have to use it lol.

i have r888r, my brother has nt01. His tires are loud as hell, mine are quiet. This is my 2nd set, different sizes, same result, quiet.

I only have the tires that the previous owner had on the car to compare against (goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 3 runflats), but to me the R888Rs do have a faint sound compared to those. Doesn't bother me one bit though. YMMV

Are you running stock ride height? or is there an in between that doesnt rub? Thanks for the heads up before i dropped the rear down too low.

I've hear the tire compound is the same since Toyo and Nitto are tied together (Nitto owns Toyo??? or something like that), so probably its 6 in one half dozen in the other on the street. I think i crossed the NT01 off when i was looking because they didn't have a good size that fit the stock front 19"s on my z51.

Hoosier 315/30/18, 345/35/18 - BC Forged RZ39 18x10.5F, 18x11R
Stingray how-to: 315 Front / 345 Rear tires for track use: link.
With stock suspension, my recommendation would be:
315/30/18F, 325/30/19R on 18x10.5 ET51, 19x11.5 ET83.
These are track oriented setups. For street only, I'd drop the fronts to 275/35/18 on same size wheels, or perhaps 18x10 to avoid clearance issues by the steering wheel lock.
NT01s are very consistent, good performing tires, but they're loud and not very safe when you hit standing water. They say R888Rs are same compound now, but they definitely don't act the same. Perhaps similar compound, with the carcass design differences? I don't know : )
You'll not make a noticeable difference with stock wheels; they cannot support anything that could get you anywhere close to traction levels you're looking for in my opinion.

For example:
Base rear setup uses 19 x 10 wheel with 285 / 35 - 19 tires
but the Z51 cars have 20 x 10 wheels with 285 / 30 - 20 tires
The lower profile (30 vs 35) basically cancels out the larger wheel (20 vs 19).
You can play with the numbers here: https://tiresize.com/calculator/
