Ive noticed it looked like the venting around the new motor is open from the outside right to the engine bay ? I wonder if this will be different on final production cars ?
That’s the way it is on my Lamborghini Huracan. Rain water wouldn’t get in there very much, but you have to be careful when washing it that you don’t spray water directly in there. You wash these cars by spraying water from the front to the back, not the other way around.

Some people also use blue painter’s tape on the inside to keep water out of the vents during washes. It’s a little extra work, but you don’t have to worry about drying off everything around the engine.
just use a good leaf blower and dry the engine bay after you wash it. you probably want the engine bay plastic or carbon pieces ceramic coated anyway to help.

Actually, with the heat generated by the engine, I think all you have to do is drive the car a bit after washing it. I do that all the time anyway to dry up the brakes and rotors so they don’t rust.
The ridiculous questions that get asked in this thread make me wonder if the o.p. has ever owned a car before
Theres nothing at all Ridiculous , Ive owned several Corvettes and Porsches and never had a car made with open direct access to the engine bay from the elements .

Yup, having been using the leaf blower to dry my Harley for years. Just make sure you don't suck up any debris in the blower intake and sandblast the engine bay.
I clean my engine bay as part of the "Cleaning my car" process. I vacuum the inside and trunk. Inside windows too. **** guys, are you cleaning the car or dusting off the outside surface?
