Default M7 Shifter vibration

Does this seem excessive? In N just idling the shifter vibrates. So much so it vibrates my hand as shown. MGW & have the solar TB.

Just a guess, but a quick check of your clutch fluid level won't hurt anything.

Clutch fluid is fine. Did the modified Ranger 2 months ago. It's not as bad when the car is cold. Actually I've noticed several things in the car rattle like that when idling. I wonder if this is just the normal chop? Given the MGW parts that secure it, the entire structure is now more ridged & rattle in unison with the car?

You will feel it more if you have a delrin or solid bushing mounted aftermarket shifter or box. The stock box has VERY soft bushings to help soak the vibrations up. I've had just about every combo of shifter and box on these cars and depending on the mount you will feel it and see it more. MGW is up there on the list for solid mounting which is a great thing, this is a side effect. The swivel on the MGW and cup system are far more precise too, transferring even more through the shifter.

This is a side effect of these awesome shifter systems. MGW is awesome.

Yep, I can see the vibration OP is experiencing. My M7 shifter has normal vibration one would expect with the engine running, but nothing like what is shown in the video.

So I wonder if this is a miss @ idle? I'll need to dig into it when I have time. The car has since I got it seemed to idle a bit choppy. I initially thought it was a miss but everyone said it was normal for a Corvette. I'll check the engine mounts as well for play.

I have the mgw shifter too and it vibrates the same. I thought it was normal to feel the vibration from through the shifter.

I checked RPM & it's steady idle at 600. If I rev it to 7-800 the vibration is gone. I guess it's something with my specific car. Drives fine.
