Scanned in my original owner's manual at a high resolution and when I converted it to a PDF it was huge, so I rescanned it at a usable resolution and then cleaned it up. It is now a usable size where I can put it on the Forum. I was trying to send it out via PM, but apparently Private Messages will not allow you to attach anything. The file is searchable. A couple of guys on the Forum helped me with the "Corvette News" page as the original owner of my car sent in the card to GM and I wanted to make the file as complete as possible. It is the December 1968 version.

Reason: Manual was supposed to be removed a long time ago
Thank you so much for doing all this work and sharing the PDF. It’ll definitely come in handy for me. Actually, I recently wanted to compile a document from some of my PDFs. I should mention that PDF Guru from the article https://euroweeklynews.com/2024/02/2...tal-documents/ I read really helped me with this. The editor is quite versatile, especially if you need to split or merge PDFs, which is very easy to do. Overall, it’s a pretty handy tool if you often work with PDFs.

Headlight fiber optic should be blue, not green. I know that I am old but I am pretty sure that I am correct on this one. Are you saying that the owner's manual says green? I have a 68.
Lou.
Thank you for posting that page, very interesting! My beat up 68 owners manual has no mention at all of the lamp monitors except for an interior shot explaining the whole dash and shifter consol. It just has a line going to the left and right lamp monitors saying lamp monitors, that's it. I had to replace my monitor lenses with GM over the counter headlamp lenses and they are blue. I have had my 68 for 54 years next month and I can't remember if the original lenses were green. Lou.

Maybe the ‘68s had green? I’ve read a lot about how that year had unique parts - “one year only” comes to mind.
90% sure mine has a lens with blue coloring (‘69).
…and is original.
Since it’s the Owner’s Manual, I’d guess that’s what the driver should expect to see, not the color of the part itself.
I know red/green/blue are the primary colors of light, while art has red/yellow/blue.
Since the FO transmits a yellow-ish white-ish light from the headlights, I’d expect to see green once it hits the lens.
Closest I can find right now, from my shifter assy. rebuild…
They look a lil blue-green to me…? Maybe more blue than green…?

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
