Default Body mount replacement

I plan on replacing the fuel line and body mounts on my 64 convertible and have researched the subject on this forum. i have the car on jack stands and plan to lift one side replace parts than the other.i have a question about what bolts i need to remove at the front end of car. I removed the 2 bolts connecting the radiator housing to the frame. i've read to also remove the four side bolts connecting the radiator housing to the wheel wells ? Do i need to remove the four side bolts at the radiator housing ? there are also two braces coming off of the bottom of the housing fastened to the grill area that were not mentioned to be removed in any posts i researched. Seems to me from a structural stand point the four side bolts would keep the front end stabilized while lifting the body. But what do i know , just looking for some insight.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I removed the core support and the headlight supports when I replaced my body mounts, but I was also replacing the engine and radiator. I’m not sure if that is really required.

I know of no reason for removing the radiator support side bolts, to lift the body.

You Cannot replace the steel fuel line unless you remove body, as the line goes into the frame at the kick up and out by the fuel tank, sender unit...

Check the fuel filler splash rubber, when you lift body from side to side, to make sure it has not shifted..

thanks for the replies. I'm going to lift body evenly off frame just enough to replace fuel line.

To do the line, you'll need to raise the body at least 2 feet...

To do it correctly..the line has to lift and twist, twist it like a screw to feed it in and out, out and in from the position inside of the frame...

I lifted my ‘64 body about this far, removed the fuel line and replaced it.

Confused...

You're saying the fuel line on a 65 ran outside the frame at the kick-up?

Mine is a ‘64 and all C2 corvette fuel lines go through the frame at the kick up. Once the body is up a few inches, you can straighten the bend in the line at the end, feed it through the frame, and rebend it once it is in place. Even SS lines have a lot of wiggle room.

and don't forget the frame bushing that protects the line as it passes through the frame.

Great subject! Watching with interest as I consider something similar on my '66 coupe.

This is how high off the frame I was to replace the fuel line. It was not fun but I got it done.

Got some parts powder coated and installed a new Dewitt’s. Nice fit well made.
