They're not saying yet so probably not light. But this "header looking" pipe situation supposedly scavenges better than an X-pipe and makes more power, which would make sense. (they have a mid pipe that looks like this for the S550 GT500's) I would also imagine it should give a more F1 exotic sound. But we'll see over time I suppose.
I'm wondering if someone were to ceramic coat this, would you still need the blanket?
Having an inconel version would be awesome, but I doubt they'll do it.
Ok on their site they have system weight as 48.2lbs about 12lbs lighter than the oem exhaust.
No mention of any power increase so this product would be purely for sound. Let's see how it sounds on a stock c8 zo6 with factory cats.

My guess for power figures is that they are waiting for a shop to do the testing. The X-pipe systems have shown (like Fabspeed's) to gain like 15-ish HP, so I'd be shocked if these didn't gain any. But less weight and a better sound works for me.
Will GM maintain the warranty on the car with Borla like they did with their other exhausts? You used to be able to buy them direct from GM (approved part).
There's a different Borla system that's been available for a while now, even from GM, that for sure maintains warranty as it says on there. But even this, I doubt you would have warranty issues since it doesn't effect the operation of anything. Now if it messed up one of the NPP things, that would likely not be covered, but other than that I don't think there's much to worry about.
I have Borla ATAK on my 2008 Z06 and I love it. It's why I've been so interested in the C8 Z06 version.
I've been today looking around for 2026 Z06s for sale that is close to my spec as possible, but also being flexible for color since there's so few yellow out there (also looking at red and green). Now that I missed getting an allocation for 26 I'll have to wait for 27 if I want my exact spec (in theory) and I'm sure those will be, yet again, more expensive by at least 5K or more. I'm wondering at this price if it's still worth it (it will be at least 177K+ at this point). I'm seeing 10 to 15K discounts on 26's (except for the few Roswell Greens I'm looking at which have no discount yet, well one is 5K actualy). My dealer, which normally gets around 15 Z06s per year, got only 2 (!!!!) for all of 26. So now I'm hoping they'll give me back my 5K deposit that I originally sent them when I had an allocation for a 25, which I ended up giving up for the new interior.
So hopefully I'll be giving this Borla ATAK a go real soon.
The exhausts I have seen so far dyno'd (without other mods) did not gain power except for the straight thru no valves no mufflers stuff. Just watched one recently with even less convoluted tubing that dropped power.

yea there was specs somewhere, I have been onto this exhaust for awhile since my c7z. I believe it said 2 , 2.75" and 3" .

I'm sure the higher price increase from 25' to 26' was because of the new interior and screens so the 26-27 shouldn't be as high imo. Good luck in the hunt, wish I was as patient as you.

This video below is the only one that I've seen so far and I'm 99% sure the car is catless as well, which is going to provide the majority of the sound gain. I will see if I can obtain any others! \

Yes, that's the one I was referring to from a year ago. Obviously, we want the final product that will be put on our cars, not with mods or testing. Thanks for trying to obtain them.
That same video is on YouTube with a different song in the back ground. I don't now why some ppl feel the need to put freaking music in an exhaust video.
That's the same car that's been testing this exhaust for a couple years I think now. It was on a Jesse Iwuji video where Jesse in one part was inside the car. They said in that video he had cat deletes. So as usual, most of the sound increase (probably 90%+) is due to no cats (or in the case of others, sport cats).
