The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

There's nothing "amusing" or "funny" about someone else parking right up on you for no other reason than to get you riled up...
Maybe you should try it..
If your car got keyed, I'd find that amusing.

That said, the truck could just as easily park ONE spot over so that his rear bumper and possible tow hitch arent within inches of the vette.
Add to that the average mentality/attitude of dudes that drive pickups in my experience (not all, but MANY, at least in TX), and yeah I lean toward the suspicion that the truck was in fact going out of his way to be a d---.
I cant count how many times I've gone to pass a truck going 10mph UNDER the limit in the fast lane in TX only to have the moron belch black smoke as he hammers it trying to prevent me from passing him. Ford F150 Raptor drivers I am looking at you.
Instead of flipping them off, I generally hold up a thumb and index finger to indicate the syndrome from which the likely suffer to evoke such behavior. Had one today in fact, though it was a caddy blackwing not a truck.
He took a turnaround at 10mph and only sped up to 30mph on a 55mph access road until my wife and I moved over to pass, at which point he was pedal-down and fishtailing to make sure his supercharged V8 wasnt passed by my lowly SLK. Small peepee syndrome without a doubt.
I just sat back and watched him accelerate to 90ish in the 55, wreckless driving territory. He then slowed down and merged onto a 70mph highway going 60mph.

We safely passed him on the highway going 75 while he sat at 60, like any sane person with an average sized peepee might. Why people act like fools behind the wheel boggles the mind.

They did not park there to "admire" it.
They were 100% being smart asses and they knew it....
Then again these days any confrontation can go sideways FAF. I find myself more hesitant to confront people given how fast things escalate lately. I do try to find places someone CANT park next to me or over my nose in my LC. Thankfully I dont daily it so I can be pretty picky about when and where I take it out.

I'm the person who parks far away because I like to walk and need the little exercise it provides. Whether it's my wife's Civic, my Accord, or my Vette. The main reason for parking faraway are careless folks who ding cars and think nothing of it, or they have ten kids opening and closing doors. They just don't think ilke most of us who care about our expensive toys.
Enjoy the ride!
Anyway. Enjoy the ride and dont forget to wave.
