The C8 z06/eRay/ZR1 is a very wide car, even with factory super sunken in wheels you’re looking at 79.5” at the rear tires.
Once you install flush fitment wheels you’re now looking at 81”+.
Well most standard trailers are 79” deck width…
I got lucky and my previous trailer had a 82” between the fenders but after a couple close calls I decided to look for something else. After looking a a bunch of options I settled on this:
And just a reminder to avoid a moment.
When you buy a trailer, remember to measure the door
width in addition to trailer width.
A wide trailer doesn't do you a lot of good if you have a tough time getting the car in it.
Don't ask me how I know.
Going through this now, I have an older trailer that I got from my Dad. I'm replacing the fenders on it with some that are clam shell so that the top half is removable. Since it's an older trailer, the deck is not wide enough for my C8 but my other cars will fit on it.
Another option I have seen folks do if the wheel wells are not that tall, and the clearance is right is to build some ramps inside the trailer to drive the car up and over the wheel wells. For enclosed trailers anyway.
I have an ATC ROM 550 28’ with the 10K GVWR which gives about 82” clearance. Just enough. Their heavier trailers use bigger axles and it drops the interior with to I think 80”. Super tight….
I have the Timpte 720 as well. I cut down the license plate holder as well for some extra clearance. None of the many other trailers that i looked at had as much clearance.
I purchased one of these last year for my Stingray, just got a Z06 last week, have yet to try to fit it in, but it has 82" between the inside wheel wells and low wheels wells at that, and wide door opening. May go ahead and build inside ramps to drive up on so I do not get close calls.

Would you mind posting or PM’ing me a picture or your license plate mod?
Thanks
