I am having a lot of trouble moving the parking brake cable to the inside of the trailing arm. The flex cable from the frame to the trailing arm refuses to bend tight enough to move it to the top of the trailing arm. I have a 1966 C2 big block convertible that I bought in 1967 when I was 19 yrs old and finally decided to put 17" x 7" wheels with 4" backspace with 225-55 Firestone 500 tires
tires .

"I bought a rubber encased reproduction cable that was more flexible than my original. I ran it between the hydraulic cable and the trailing arm. It sits right up against the trailing arm but I think it will be fine.I don't have a photo but the 65 frame mount uses only one hole and its welded on, not bolted. Mine looked like it was going to be too long but once I mounted it and raised the trailing arm, it wasn't too long."
At the bracket or between the bracket and the chassis? Typically, it will be the latter and you can use a heavy duty wire tie to pull the cable tight to the TA.
Shop that replaced my frame re-routed the EB, so no help there. Love the Firestone 500s (second set). My wheels are 4.5" BS so I run 235/50R17s front and back. Thot since you're doing the EB move, might want a fatter tire. Cool story of owning since 19!! Wicked car for a teenager. Best wishes. Larry
I had a similar issue trying to get my original cable on my 64 to work on my ridetech trailing arms. At first I thought it was because of the aftermarket trailing arms but Ridetech assured me that original cable should work. I wound up purchasing an aftermarket cable from Dorman and it worked like a charm. Will try to attach a link to the part I ordered. Not sure if this will 100% work for you but it did the trick for me.
