It was/is listed on the c3 registry in 2015 with 25K miles. Perhaps the ebayowner listed can help with who he sold it to and start the trail. Appears it was a California car. Hard to get info now with privacy concerns or record keeping. Hopefully someone on the forum has seen it. Good luck. https://www.c3registry.com/index.php?job=ShowRegistry
I don't see it on the CA smog check registry with that license plate. That license plate, 5WQS727 is from about 2005.
If I had the VIN I could look up to see if it was smogged up to like 1996 (that is the last smog it shows for my 68 and I smogged it every 2 years from between 1984 to 1996.

Did a "search image with google lens" and it came up with a few sites of the wreck. One site listed the vin number which I found on the c3 registry. That is where the info and pictures are from.
The owner posted on the registry in 2015 and those pics he added could be from years previous,.. not 2015
Hoping, perhaps, someone can see the pictures as it was and recognize that they owned it back then and can help the op. pm sent.
I ran a VIN check on the CA smog check page and it has no record of having been smogged in about 1996. 1996 is the last entry remaining for my 68. I suspect this vehicle came into ca AFTER they stopped smogging checking the 75-and-before vehicles after about 1996.
Thanks everyone for jumping in and adding info! As for the comments about plans for the car and what's salvageable - The car has a LSA engine and it is sitting on a SRiii chassis. I don't have the car in my possession yet - so took a bit of a risk on this. The hit seems to be kind of high and the suspension components are cast aluminum - likely from a c6. So the cast aluminum I am hoping absorbed some of the impact and did not tweak the frame too much.
