Finally ran my 427 LS7 swapped vette at the dyno and drag strip
-1986 vette
-Full street interior and car is at full weight of 3473 LBS as raced on friday night with the driver
-427 LS7 with a stock bottom end but has a LS7X texas speed cam 248/256 @ .050 with .624/612 lift
-Melrose headers
-2000 camaro computer running the engine and 4L60E transmission with 4500 stall and lockup
-3" dual exhaust system
-Ford 9 inch rear conversion with 3.73 gears
-275 drag radials
-4" maf sensor
-Engine makes around 650 to 700 horsepower
-Full cage certified to 8.5 ET's tucked nicly in the car so you can not really even see it unless you look
I have a tune mostly dialed in, there may be some additional power hiding in there but not a lot
The car looks like a sleeper, looks like any stock C4 corvette and at the strip you can barly hear it run compared to most of the cars there.
I dynoed the car on a Mustang dyno in the unlocked condition with a conserative tune (Rich and pretty conserative timing and the car made 510 RWHP at around 6900 RPM but it was still climbing and I lifted to make sure I kept all the parts inside the engine. Dyno sheets attached.
It was in this condition that I ran the car on Friday night and the car ran well, the DA was 1700 ft at it went a 10.22 ET at 131 MPH. (I was hoping for a 9 but I can live with what I have)
Car was very conststant I ran 5 times at it ran between 10.22 to as slow as 10.25. It also pulls a nice 6" wheely at the launch.
Run attached:
