The pictured calipers were made by Girlock here in Australia, I remember when the c4 was released there was a red one which was on display under the Girlock banner at Motor show events...cool to see a c4 for the first time as a teenager.
Sorry I don't know who makes the latest brakes.
PBR/Girlock also provided the Brake Master Cylinders. Personally I really like their products! In 1984 this was a big deal, there were many innovations and industry "firsts" with the C4 design and production...truly revolutionary at the time👍
unfortunately PBR closed it Australian factory after 90 years.
The PBR brand name was sold on, now owned by Hitachi/ Astemo. The brake components are now made in China, Thailand and Malaysia.

I've always liked the look of C4 calipers. A lot of folks paint em, but I like the look of just the raw aluminum. It's not like they can be seen anyway, given that I kept the stock 90 rims.
When I first picked up my C4 the calipers were filthy with baked on, hard to remove grime. After a really good cleaning with wire wheels they've stayed that way ever since. Now I just give em a quick wash whenever I do a brake bleed and they keep their luster.
