I have a 2000 convertible with 17x9.5 Z06 wheels in the front and 18x10.5 Z06 wheels in the rear. Currently running the factory tire sizes of 245 45 17 & 275 40 18. I am going to be replacing the tires due to age and would like to know if anyone knows if 265 40 17 & 295 35 18 would work for my application with no modifications/issues?
Thanks in advance.
Factory Z06 tire sizes you listed (265/40/17 & 295/35/18) will work just fine, if you can find those sizes. Many people will adjust the front width to 255 or 275 to vastly increase the availability of tire options.
They are OE wheels. They are a later Z06 style. Did Gunmetal as everyone does black and I hate Chrome.
I think this was the offset. I would have to look them up again.
18" 10.5 rear 56 offset 17" 9.5 54 offset front. Note this is from a poor memory.
I tried to keep with some side wall as the roads here would break wheels. I went wider to fill up the wells. I do not lower as the front scrapes enough and I carry NFL Hall of Fame players in the Pro Foot Ball parade in Canton and they lower the car even more.
Got the wheel from Summit Racing and also got the GM Jake caps from Summit.
Not many wheels out there I like anymore. I would love to have a set of the old BBS 3 piece wheels. They were some of the best and strongest wheels made. They are just in limited sizes now. Also $900 a wheel.
I just ordered a new set of Forged Fuchs for my 911 and they were just over a grand a wheel. Good wheels are not cheap anymore.
